Luxury yacht builder Pendennis was founded in 1988 after yachtsman and entrepreneur Peter de Savary acquired a yacht manufacturer and relocated it to Falmouth Docks. David Bentley and Peter Wood joined the management team and later took control of Pendennis along with Henk Wiekens and Mike Carr, who came on soon after the shipyard was founded. The company acquired superyacht builder Devenport Yachts in 2010, renaming it Pendennis Plus, and opened an office in Palma de Mallorca in 2011. Luxury yacht builder Pendennis operates a world renowned superyacht manufacturing and refit yard at its main facility in Falmouth, England. It employs more than 350 workers. The company partners with some of the world’s leading yacht designers and offers customers a host of planning and design support services.
