I am a positive, happy person who loves all aspects of my life. I love the beach, animals and children. I am a people’s person. I grew up in the Kruger Park and that is where my love for animals and people comes from. Love working with people from all over the world. I have three beautiful children and an amazing mom whom I adore. I received the most precious gift of all very recently when I was blessed by becoming a grandmother. Like most young people and since I can remember, I had a dream… I just wanted to be a teacher when I grow up. Like a lot of young people, I did not have the means to pursue my dream. At the age of sixteen, I started working in the Kruger Park tourist shop as a cashier during school holidays. Naturally, when I matriculated and because I could not attend a college or university to study what my heart desired, I started working for SANParks. I worked in different departments from the tourist shop to finally being promoted to year in advance bookings at SANParks head office. I will always “want to be a teacher in my heart but never will I be disappointed for the foundation I had. Working for SANParks gave me the opportunity, confidence and knowledge to work with tourists from all over the world. They had a huge hand in the way I see people and the quality of work I offer. I will always be thankful. I am a loyal, loving, understanding, empathetic and kind individual. I learned a lot about people over the years. People tend to confide in me and I am a very good listener. I can solve problems easily because people listen to me and usually follow my advice. It makes it a lot easier to solve problems in the work place concerning personnel and clients too. I have a sixth sense about people and it usually turns out to be spot on. The way in which I treat people, they will follow my orders without question. I learned a lot during my years working for different companies and working in different departments and environments. I know how to handle myself and every situation and challenge I am faced with. I am hard working and not afraid to learn new things. I am a quick learner and I always follow through on everything I do. Even if it is a new challenge I have to tackle and always give a hundred and one percent doing everything that has to be done. I am not afraid to walk the extra mile and to do everything to the best of my ability. I gained a lot of professional work experience. This includes... working as a reservations officer, receptionist, personal assistant, book keeper, financial administrator, school tutor and even running my own business for several years. I loved all the careers I pursued but my favorite by far was the work I have done with clients. It would be a honor and privilege to invest the experience I have gained and the skills I have mastered into your company and to share it with the world.

I was born in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, but raised in Jozini, Kwa-Zulu Natal and a Diver at heart. School Holidays was spent on the beach and in the ocean at Sodwana Bay. My Passion for acting started at a young age when I was approached by my arts teacher to play the lead as “Joseph” in that year’s school play, “Joseph and his technicolor dream coat”. In 2006, I moved to Saldanha bay Naval Base to conduct my basic training and upon completion, reported to Simon’s Town Naval Base Diving Centre. I worked at the Naval Diving Centre until mid- 2007, but reported for duty aboard SAS Spioenkop (Naval Warship) later that year and for the rest of my stay in the SA Navy. I resigned from the SA Navy at the end of 2009 to further pursue my childhood passion for Acting, after it had been re-ignited back in 2007, when a Production Company came to shoot the one part series, “Diver’s Down”, at the Naval Diving Base where I was stationed. Since then, I performed numerous small roles in Films and TV Shows with goals and aspirations to become a successful actor in the industry. Years later and struggling in the industry I started a Photography business in 2017 shooting headshots for actors in the industry and also specializing in Real Estate Photography. I also worked in the hospitality industry during this time working my way up to head of staff at a fine dining Italian Restaurant in the Bellville area of Cape Town. December 2018 I made the very hard decision to hang up my Actor’s hat and retire from the industry as I needed to make a change. So with a fire in my belly and a pursuit of a new career I embarked on an old passion within the boating world. I completed my Yacht Master Coastal and SAS Day Skipper certificate followed by a plane ticket to Nice, France. I spent a month walking countless amount of steps that would make “Discovery Vitality” proud on the docks of the various harbors handing out my cv in an attempt to book work as crew on board. With a few days worth of day work under the belt and finally booking an interview for a possible crew position, my visa expired and I needed to come home. Luckily I was being strongly considered for a position aboard but I needed to wait for the boat to come out of the drydock. With this I flew back to SA with a hopeful heart knowing that I would soon return to France. As things go, the opportunity was cancelled (Owner preferred a merger of the two available roles and he preferred a female). What to do now? Unemployed and with depleted finances of not being able to return I started looking for work and was unemployed until Sept the same year when I finally got an opportunity to begin work as a Junior Site Supervisor for a Construction Business (not ideal, but hey challenge accepted and gotta pay dem bills son!). I have since then worked for the same company, building weigh bridges, expanding warehouses, pouring concrete floors and laying paving. I have learned so much and have grown allot since then. Recently I approached and dusted off my photography equipment again and am in the process of starting this up as well. Being in the construction industry has sparked a lot of ideas and have given me a new passion for real estate, especially as an Investor. People tend to describe me as ambitious, hardworking, punctual and goal-oriented. I have high attention to detail and work really well in both a team environment and on my own. I am proactive, a problem solver and creative at heart. I won’t stop until the project or task is completed. More personally I enjoy the outdoors, love being fit and healthy and spending my off time with my most valuable assets; family and friends. Short term goals: – To learn and grow the new skills required to perform given tasks efficiently and with excellence. -To prove myself a valuable asset, as a hardworking, dependable and trustworthy individual to my fellow colleagues, managers and seniors. Long term goals: -To become one of the best in my department and be seen as the go to guy for a specific job or task. -To become manager and coach to younger generations looking to enter my industry. -To eventually run a team of managers, teaching them to effectively run their teams with excellence. I believe in serving others with excellence. The effort you put in will reap the results you desire. I also believe that being truthful, respectful and trustworthy are very important keys to success and I strive to live by these principles daily.
I am passionate about my work. Because I love what I do, I have a steady source of motivation that drives me to do my best. In my last job, this passion led me to challenge myself daily and learn new skills that helped me to do better work. I am ambitious and driven. I thrive on challenges and constantly set goals for myself, so I have something to strive toward. I’m not comfortable with settling, and I’m always looking for an opportunity to do better and achieve greatness. I am an excellent communicator. I pride myself on making sure people have the right information because it drives better results. Most business issues stem from poor communication, so I feel a responsibility to keep everyone on the same page. I am results-oriented, constantly checking in with the goal to determine how close or how far away we are and what it will take to make it happen. I find this pressure inspiring and a great motivator for the rest of the team. I am highly organized. I always take notes, and I use a series of tools to help myself stay on top of deadlines. I like to keep a clean workspace and create a logical filing method so I’m always able to find what I need. I find this increases efficiency and helps the rest of the team stay on track, too. I’m a people-person. I love meeting new people and learning about their lives and their backgrounds. I can almost always find common ground with strangers, and I like making people feel comfortable in my presence.

Aquarama Marina originally built back in the 1960’s was just a small fuel stop with limited pens and a slipway. Completely re-developed in 1985 into a fully faceted marina with 210 pens and a 50 stacker boat rack – the first boat stacker to be build Western Australia and remained the only one for many years until boat stackers became the obvious solution to boat storage with the short supply of accessible land to store boats near the water. The marina offers a variety of services to benefit our clients with in-house businesses like; Mechanical repairs, a boats sales office, public slipway, detailing & repairs, boat course training centre and a restaurant. Situated only 20 minutes up-river from the Fremantle Port we are just a short cruise to the Indian ocean and beyond where you’ll find the pristine waters of Rottnest Island. My name is Luis Guillermo Castro Martin. I am a philosopher specialized in philosophy of mind and language. In particular, I am interested in the nature of consciousness, and the way in which we experience and interpret the world. I started my studies at the Central University of Venezuela in 2006, where I obtained a bachelor’s degree in philosophy (2011) and a master’s degree in logic and philosophy of science (2015). In 2012, the university offered me a position as a professor of philosophy and I taught several courses there until 2017, when I enrolled in a PhD program at the University of Genoa, Italy. I have also published several papers in philosophy journals and participated in various international events. In 2020, while writing my PhD thesis, I realized that I had been immersed in philosophy for too long and decided to use my experience to rejoin the real world. In my years studying philosophy, I have learned many things, but the most important is that the world is what we make of it, there is no ultimate truth, no final word. We create our reality. Knowledge has somehow separated us from others and nature, perhaps it can also reunite us. Although I was born in Venezuela, my family is a blending of different nationalities and traditions. I have lived and studied in different countries, which are all part of who I am and what I want to be. My actions define me, not my nationality or my origins. I do not believe in borders or limits; they are only in our minds. The sensation of not belonging can be liberating, once we realize that, by not belonging somewhere, we belong everywhere. I speak three languages (Spanish, English, and Italian) and I enjoy learning from other cultures, as well as transmitting the values of my own. I also enjoy music, sports and nature. I am the author of “Fragments of Mind” on Substack. A space for thinking outside the box, while discussing philosophical matters.
St Blaize Marine is the dream enterprise of Ian and Ronèl Barnard, the co-founders, company visionaries and sole designer. Fishing and boating have always been synonymous with Ian. At the age of 16, Ian joined the navy to complete his mandatory military service year. Upon completion of this year, he set out for Mossel Bay in the Southern Cape to join his father in the commercial fishing industry, the period during which Ian and Ronèl met. Not long after however, Ian and his parents undertook the challenge of starting up and maintaining a flower farm. Being married by this time, the couple invested many years into the growth of the farm before branching out as separate business entities: with Ian starting up his own construction company and Ronèl likewise managing her very own flower shop. After numerous hardships and generally feeling unfulfilled and limited by their respective industries, Ian began to consider the prospect of pursuing his life-long passion for boating as a boat builder. Being a man of action, he soon made work of said considerations and was quickly joined by Ronèl, the two setting out on a shared endeavour once more, later to be known as St Blaize Marine. They were initially limited to boat- and boat trailer repair jobs, and though the change of scenery was welcome, Ian did not let his aspirations fade out there. By the generosity of numerous small contributors, perseverance, strength of will and as Ian himself likes to recall, the unquestionable answer of prayer by God, St Blaize Marine designed and produced an original boat design, later dubbed the Eclipse, within merely 2 months, from first paper draft to first usable prototype. The twin hull was designed solely by Ian and the first plug was constructed by hand from scratch by Ian and Ronèl themselves. The magnitude of this accomplishment would only begin to dawn on them when the plug took to water for the first testing, surpassing not only their expectations, but also their wildest dreams. Regardless of what outboard motor was fitted to it, Ian’s design glided through any water conditions and delivered a ride that is to this day difficult to formulate into words, piquing great local interest. The plug was put through various tests to gauge the design’s efficiency before ultimately being sent back to the workshop for the next step: the aesthetics. Ian once again solely undertook the task of designing the curved aesthetics that co-characterize the boat alongside its performance. In the winter of 2016, the very first finished Eclipse 680 had her launch in Mossel Bay. She was quickly spirited away to Mozambique for a month long field test and again managed to repeatedly astound onlookers, long time boating enthusiasts and even Ian himself. Word of this new design got out and soon, renowned boating magazine Leisure Boating, called to review the design. The review can be viewed on the Leisure Boating website, by clicking here. Furthermore, the success of the Eclipse 680 has led to St Blaize Marine obtaining the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Mercury dealership in Mossel Bay, along with both Lowrance and Garmin. St Blaize Marine is steadily growing as it continues to produce the Eclipse 680 and more models are in the pipeline. Soon our brand will expand into Australia, a prospect we anticipate fervently.
Yachting Synergy forms another prong in a global community of partners and platforms, each working in synergy with the other, each dynamically generating additional residual income streams, as you utilise your personal digital platforms to network. My "day" job is that of a business owner and manager, running our business, Absolutely SCUBA in Mossel Bay. Not only do we train divers and mentor and instruct Dive Professionals - many of whom, go on to crew abroad on sailing and super yachts - this is an especially exciting initiative... At my core, I am a dreamer and I dream big dreams. I am an extrovert, not shy to shine, unafraid to lead. I have entrepreneurial vision but pragmatism and circumstance have made for very practical decisions over the last two decades, leaving my dreams shelved, to gather only dust. I have it settled deep within my spirit, the desire to impact lives, in a beneficial way, and to do so, not just at home, but far and wide. I have for too long, been as a ship anchored, safely in Port. This is not what this ship was made for - I yearn to set sail, to explore the world. The time is near, the winds of change favourable. I have a few projects I’m busy with presently and I’m pregnant with promise and ambition. I am excited, committed, determined to tick off every item on my #BucketList, among the items - to #Managemybusiness #WorkFromWherever #exploreItaly, most of all, committed to move forward into the fullness of my raison d’être.

The Royal Cape Yacht Club is one of South Africa’s most active and oldest yacht clubs. Located in Cape Town, the Club plays host to many important national sailing events, including South Africa’s premier ocean yacht race, the internationally renowned Cape to Rio. The Club was founded as the Table Bay Yacht Club in 1905 and commenced operation as such in a waterside boatshed located some 50 to 60 metres northward of the foot of Loop Street. Surviving early vicissitudes, the club’s name was changed in 1914 to the Cape Yacht Club which incorporated the Alfred Rowing Club and shortly after we received the Royal Charter to become the Royal Cape Yacht Club. Buffeted by change we moved from clubhouse to clubhouse, and it was not until the decade after the 2nd World War (1939 – 1945) that the shell of the present clubhouse came to be erected. It was added to when the local yachting boom – started by the first Trans-Atlantic Race from Cape Town to Rio de Janeiro in 1971 – took off and changed the Club from a small membership of around 300 to the present figure of some 3000. Boat accommodation was forced to progress from swing moorings to the marina’s of today. Likewise control had to pass from amateur committees to the professional staff which you will find today. The Royal Cape Yacht Club sits at the foot of Africa, a quiet enclave tucked away in the bustle of Cape Town’s docks. It is a prime location for sailors looking for respite from stormy weather and the club has hosted thousands of weary sailors over the years. The Club hosts important sailing events including the Country’s premier keelboat regattas. The Cape to Rio and South Atlantic Races have been hosted by Royal Cape Yacht Club since inception in 1971. Down the centuries, the Southern tip of the African continent, has extended a welcome to seafarers, gaining for the city the soubriquet of the “Tavern of the Seas”.
Candela was founded in 2014 by Gustav Hasselskog. Determined to find ways to make electric boats with both range and speed, he gathered a task force consisting of some of the world’s leading experts within dynamic modelling, hardware design, hydrodynamics, control theory, machine learning, image & signal processing, structural engineering and electrical machines. The mission: to make an electric boat with better performance than the fossil fuel competitors. At the end of 2016, a full-scale prototype was launched, reaching the target of more than 50 nautical miles per charge at a speed of 22 knots. Serial production of the world’s first electric hydrofoil boat started in 2019. In 2020, Candela C-7 became the best-selling electric boat in Europe. There’s finally is a superior electric alternative to gas-guzzling fossil fuel boats. We’ve made the first no-compromise electric boat: fast, with long-range, and fun to drive. But also 95% cheaper to operate, totally silent, and doesn’t create any wake. Our hydrofoil technology enables people to explore the planet’s beautiful waterways without harming and polluting these fragile ecosystems. And on a greater scale, we believe our electric hydrofoil technology will play a big part in cutting emissions from shipping. This is a key to reach the UN sustainability goals of reaching zero net emissions by 2050. Candela’s purpose is to speed up the transition to fossil fuel free oceans and lakes. Our innovative P-30 is the world’s first high-speed and long-range electric shuttle ship. Cruising at 20+ knots on computer-controlled hydrofoils, it consumes 80% less energy than conventional ships. Opening up our waterways for fast, zero-emission transport will revolutionize urban commuting. The Candela C-POD is the most efficient and long-lasting boat motor ever made. Two ultra-compact yet strong permanent magnet motors under the water provide unrivaled range and efficiency. Enough thrust to make our boats fly at a speed of 30 knots, in absolute silence. Electric direct-drive means no noise from gears, no oil changes and no maintenance. The patent-pending Candela C-POD will last a lifetime, without needing service. In 2019, we introduced the Candela C-7 to prove that the future of boats depends on electric propulsion and actively stabilized hydrofoiling. Winning numerous awards, gaining great customer feedback, and making an international sales record, the C-7 surpassed our expectations. Now available only in limited numbers pre-owned, the C-7 is an icon among electric boats, that has inspired customers and competitors alike, worldwide. In order to make a truly compelling electric craft, we had to rethink boats. Instead of punching its way through the waves, C-8 flies silently above the surface. Instead of fitting a bigger engine, we went for dramatically improved efficiency by developing a pod motor optimized for hydrofoils. Instead of creating huge swells, we made a craft that leaves no wake behind. To this, we added the best user interface ever seen in a boat, over-the-air upgrades, and all the amenities and comfort you would expect from the world’s best leisure boat. Meet the P-8 Voyager, the first zero impact craft for long-range exploration. Engineered to go where other electric boats can’t, without leaving a trace behind. Thanks to active hydrofoils, the P-8 Voyager combines silence, performance, and superior range into a design that brings a better experience for passengers, while leaving a minimal footprint.

We are Riaan & Andre van Helsdingen, twin brothers with a big dream. We started out as a small company with nothing but a welding machine on loan from a friend and a big dream - to build high quality trailers that made us a household name. Twin Trailers was born in 1992 and 3000 trailers later our other passion - boats - would no longer stay asleep. In 1998 our company started building boats and trailers therefore establishing ourselves as Twin Boats & Trailers. The first boats we built were ideal for a family of 4, and soon the range expanded. After introducing the Sensation Boat range at the Floating Boat Show in Denmark in 2000, and at the Dusseldorf Boat Show in Germany in 2001, the international orders started pouring in. We started off with only 9 employees, and now employ almost 80. Along with the expansion in production came the need for the expansion of floor space. From our humble beginnings under a tree in the backyard to building a factory (comprising of 5500m²) on the R59 Highway we have come a long way. During 2003 we won the coveted Business Man of the Year award. Since then, we have been awarded many accolades which now decorate our office walls. We manufacture our products with pride - personally inspecting every boat that leaves our factory to ensure that it is built to the highest standards. In 2006, we were introduced to vacuum infusion by a well-known French company and quickly saw the benefits; after making a decision to use the vacuum infusion as part of the manufacturing process of our boats - a first for any boat builder in South Africa. This has enabled us to offer a lifelong hull warranty on our product – again – the first and only boat manufacturer in South Africa to do so. People are often amazed when they are told that we both suffer from dyslexia and left school at the end of Grade 9 (Standard 7). This has encouraged us to give back to our community where needed. Since 2007, we have hosted the annual Celebrity Ice Block Challenge where actors and artists are invited to race against each other to raise funds for various charities. We are often guests on television and radio programs promoting boating and boat racing by encouraging people of all ages to believe in their dreams. Since 1994, we are truly seen as leaders in the South African boat building and boat manufacturing business.
