Under the ownership of Tim Duncan the ever-popular custom-built Admiral 40, now renamed Celtic 40, is in production at Celtic Yachts new purpose-designed factory in Cape Town, South Africa. Celtic Yachts bought the moulds and rights to manufacture the Admiral 38 and 40 in 2011. Tim has a life-long interest in sailing and mucking about in boats. He purchased an Admiral 38 hull, deck and bulkheads from then Admiral Yachts and fulfilling a lifelong dream, launched Songbird in 2001. Since then Tim continues to be inspired to build solid, beautiful boats. While completing Songbird, Tim saw the opportunity to build quality interiors for boats. This earned him a reputation for producing excellent workmanship and service within the yachting industry. Both the Celtic 40 and Admiral 38 are perfect for short-handed sailing and provide excellent sailing performance and comfortable live-aboard experience, with the Celtic 40 offering added spacious live-aboard elegance. Enhanced features of the Celtic 40 include, a redesigned helm station allowing for ease of short-handed sailing, a new davit platform, moulded bimini ceiling, redesigned heads, more spacious forward and aft cabins, more locker space, extended saloon seating and a larger sliding door opening. Our luxury catamarans are designed by Angelo Lavranos. The Lavranos design aim: "Grace, Pace, Space” combines a unique blend of aesthetic design, engineering, and offshore experience. A true bluewater boat!
Xquisite Yachts has been established in 2014 with the purpose of launching a new brand of sailing and power catamarans. Our goal was to create the ultimate luxury yacht for cruisers, where safety and innovative designs blends together, offering unmatched comfort for adventurers who wish to explore our oceans without giving up their comfortable lifestyle. Our yachts are built in Cape Town, by a team of highly experienced catamaran builders, and are marketed globally and exclusively under the brand, Xquisite Yachts. All our vessels are designed for comfort and easy sail handling, including two headsails, electric winches and davits, and equipped with generator, air-conditioning, water maker, washing machine and digital switching as standard. Allowing extensive blue water cruising for couples or families. The sailing performance of our yachts is reached by using lightweight construction materials, such as high-density foam core and vacuum infused epoxy resin, built to CE and category A offshore certification. While great performance is guaranteed with the twin 80HP Yanmar engines under power. Although all our yachts are equipped for serious blue water sailing as standard and the choice of two different interior finishes comes at no additional cost, our “in-house” design team allows us the flexibility to offer both standard and fully custom versions of all models, adapting to the needs of our clients, with the professional guidance of our dedicated design team. As boutique boatyard, our approach is to build only a limited amount of yachts each year, using the latest technology and exceptional finishes.
